"Whisper's hello, I miss you quite terribly"

One of the websites I always check on a regular basis is apple.com's movie trailers page. You already all know I am a very big movie freak but I also enjoy watching trailers maybe just as much as the actual movies themselves.

I love the anticipation, I love the fact that most movies always look good in trailers, I love getting a sneak peek and having a new movie to look forward too. And even if the movie disappoints, at least the trailer totally made me gasp and 'awwww' and giggle sigh.

This week has been slightly slow - study and late nights spent drinking hot chocolate and watching shows on repeat - so I decided to share two of my favorite trailers of this month. I chose these two because I love the stories behind them, because they are visually interesting and beautiful, and because I've seen them a dozen times now and I'm still not bored yet.

Also, I am a big sappy romantic at heart and I really, really, really wanna see them!!

Sweet and heartbreaking and rich, all wrapped up in under 3 minutes, hope you enjoy.

Bright Star:
Imdb link here. Trailer here.

The movie centers around the beautiful yet tragic romance between the poet John Keats and his love Fanny Brawne. I say tragic because it was too short due to his death at 25. I fell in love with Keats' poetry when I was in the 8th grade (him and Byron made my heart flutter with delight back then and still do.) so I personally cannot wait for the movie.

It stars Abbie Cornish and Ben Wishaw. I love him and think he is a breathtaking actor, if you haven't seen Perfume or Brideshead Revisited you need to right now. There's something very mysterious and fragile about him and I always love how that translates onto film. Love him!

(500) Days of Summer
Imdb link here. Trailer here.

I don't think I need to explain this one, do I, considering the fact that I think everyone and their grandma's dog has heard of it! An off-beat love story that isn't a love story, staring the always darling Zooey Deschanel and the multitalented Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
I can't wait to see the movie. Until then at least there's this funny, quirky, colorful trailer to enjoy.

This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen grew up believing that he'd never truly be happy until the day he met the one. The girl, Summer Finn did not share this belief. This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story.

Summer: We've been like Sid and Nancy for months now.
Tom
: We've had some disagreements but I hardly think I'm Sid Vicious.
Summer
: No I'm Sid.
Tom
: Oh, so I'm Nancy...

Hope you're now just excited for these two gorgeous movies as much as I am :)

"Let your heart meet mine."

(This post is brought to you by the amazing 10-22mm Canon lens I managed to get my tiny greedy little hands on this weekend. I was this close to holding it tightly against my chest and whispering 'My Preciousssssss' over and over. This close!)

I love it when things work out. You know that feeling of happiness you get in the depth of your chest when you look around and it feels like all the cogs are rolling perfectly in sync and everyone is rolling with it and it's like butterflies under your skin and like the pleasant shock of a warm drink to your body? Yeah, that feeling there.

Saturday was Urban Soup Nights which in theory was a night where soup was served and at the same time donations were made for the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital.

Why do I say in theory? Because it was that and so much more!! It was an evening of smiles and warmth served along steaming hot cups of soup. An evening of old friends reuniting over so many hugs and new faces greeting each other with nothing but smiles. It was an evening of friendship that popped up in unexpected places. It was proof that our city, as run down and lost as it might sometimes look, still has so much good to offer in the form of wonderful, funny, smart, caring individuals.

It' s amazing how many people soup and Twitter can bring together :D

Thanks to everyone I met there for a great night and I can't wait for the next one!

For more links and photos, Pranzul Din Caserola has it all wrapped up so nicely. And my photos can be found, as always, on my Flickr Account.

What's better than a Sunday night? A Sunday night when you decide in the spur of the moment that sitting inside is not fine and that the best plan is to Geek Up!! (How I Met Your Mother references rock!) and join the happy peeps at the Wild Nerds Party.

Lovely night with sweet funny people that embraced their inner geek and danced the night away and did not kick my ass for burning off their retinas with my camera's flash. Thank you!

Song of the Day: The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
If you haven't seen The Boat That Rocked you should now!! If not for the amazing Bill Nighty (I don't think it's possible to love this man more that I already do!) or for the cutie-pie Tom Sturridge or for the over the top and fabulous wardrobe, at least do it for the music! The soundtrack will have you dancing all day and all of the night ;)

"There are times when I'm so impossible"

Here's something to make my day. I got this sweet award from an even sweeter girl, Ruxandra at Daydreamer. Thanks so much doll, a lot of e-hugs going your way!

I have to share 10 facts about me, so here they are:

1. English is my second language but I swear that sometimes it's tied for first place with Romanian. I've been speaking English since I was 5 years old and for me it doesn't matter which of them I choose to speak cause it's just the same for me. Strangely, I also prefer British English and can always whip out the posh accent, especially for exams ;)

2. Even though I'm a creature of comfort, I do adore all things posh. Strong perfumes, velvet pillows, expensive dark chocolate, feathers and pearls, silk neck ties, big chunky cocktail rings, leather bound books. Love them!

3. I am such a book worm. I love curling up on my bed with a good book. Surprisingly, I wasn't an avid reader when I was a child but along came highschool and bam! the book worm in me pounced on anything it could get its greedy little hands on. Right now I am in love with F. Scott FItzgerard and Chuck Palahniuk.

4. I am walking example of the "sadistic" med student type. I actually did a little victory dance in the hospital hallway when I learned that I could watch a brain tumor operation. And I get excited at the mention of "surgery" or "blood"

5. And I am afraid of needles. Ironic, n'est pas?

6. I think I fall in love with cute strangers every day. On the bus, at school, at a cafe. I think it's because I've watched too many romantic movies when growing up.

7. I'm a very touchy-feely person. I hug, I cuddle, I hold hands, I smooch, I kiss, I pounce, I snuggle, I cling etcetera.

8. I am the kind of person that would probably forget to pay the water bill or electrical bill because she bought shoes with that money. Thank god I love candle light and have best friends who will always take me in for a hot shower.

9. I can watch the same movie or listen to the same song over and over again. I love getting everything I can from it, watching and listening until I am sure I got everything it had to offer. And then I might not bother with it for months or years to come.

10. I love and am attracted like crazy to sparkly and shiny things. Like a fish. Or a magpie. That goes "Ooooooh, shiny!!" and gets this glazed look in its eyes.

Song of the Day: The All-American Rejects - The Wind Blows
(Thanks to Lilianne for recommending this song, it's my new favorite for the week!)
