"There are times when I'm so impossible"

Here's something to make my day. I got this sweet award from an even sweeter girl, Ruxandra at Daydreamer. Thanks so much doll, a lot of e-hugs going your way!

I have to share 10 facts about me, so here they are:

1. English is my second language but I swear that sometimes it's tied for first place with Romanian. I've been speaking English since I was 5 years old and for me it doesn't matter which of them I choose to speak cause it's just the same for me. Strangely, I also prefer British English and can always whip out the posh accent, especially for exams ;)

2. Even though I'm a creature of comfort, I do adore all things posh. Strong perfumes, velvet pillows, expensive dark chocolate, feathers and pearls, silk neck ties, big chunky cocktail rings, leather bound books. Love them!

3. I am such a book worm. I love curling up on my bed with a good book. Surprisingly, I wasn't an avid reader when I was a child but along came highschool and bam! the book worm in me pounced on anything it could get its greedy little hands on. Right now I am in love with F. Scott FItzgerard and Chuck Palahniuk.

4. I am walking example of the "sadistic" med student type. I actually did a little victory dance in the hospital hallway when I learned that I could watch a brain tumor operation. And I get excited at the mention of "surgery" or "blood"

5. And I am afraid of needles. Ironic, n'est pas?

6. I think I fall in love with cute strangers every day. On the bus, at school, at a cafe. I think it's because I've watched too many romantic movies when growing up.

7. I'm a very touchy-feely person. I hug, I cuddle, I hold hands, I smooch, I kiss, I pounce, I snuggle, I cling etcetera.

8. I am the kind of person that would probably forget to pay the water bill or electrical bill because she bought shoes with that money. Thank god I love candle light and have best friends who will always take me in for a hot shower.

9. I can watch the same movie or listen to the same song over and over again. I love getting everything I can from it, watching and listening until I am sure I got everything it had to offer. And then I might not bother with it for months or years to come.

10. I love and am attracted like crazy to sparkly and shiny things. Like a fish. Or a magpie. That goes "Ooooooh, shiny!!" and gets this glazed look in its eyes.

"I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby, listen to Fall Out Boy, baby, with me"

The charming and stylish Dapper Kid tagged me for the game Show Me Your Blog Spot.

The rules are as follows:

1. Once you are tagged, post a picture of where you blog.
2. Feel free to tell us a little about your space, or explain certain items in more detail. Or not.
3. Link back Daddy Likey's original post.
4. Tag five other bloggers to show their blog spots.
5. If you are tagged and do not participate, you will become allergic to cabbage.

As I really love cabbage and because it would be a bore to be allergic to it, I guess I have no other choice then to show you all how I blog, eh? ;D

My desk is the place where I spend most of my time at home, curled up in my blue chair. My trusty PC is the link between my dull little life and the charming, exciting and stylish blogosphere.

This is the first thing that comes into view when you look at my desk. I am usually there, with either a glass of water (I drink about 3 liters of it a day) or a cup of warm tea, depending on my mood. Or, if sleep is strong, I usually stick to my cans of Diet Coke. We all need some sort of addiction, no?

My photo "wall", which has just been redecorated last weekend. That PR advertisement, Natasha Poly, Gustav Klimt, love and my university timetable... what more inspiration can a girl want?

I have this little shelve on the right side of my desk that houses some of my make-up and body lotions. I also have a White Chocolate Candle that is used less for burning and more for storing perfume samples.

I collect tickets. Train tickets, plane tickets, movie/concert/theater tickets. I sometimes write little things on the back of them, words that I associate with that night or that trip. It's maybe my way of holding on to memories, I guess :)
I also collect rosaries. I always, always make sure I buy a rosary from every country I visit. I currently have one from Notre Dame, one from Westminster Abbey, two from Basilica di San Pietro (two different holidays spent in Rome), one from Stephansdom in Vienna and one from
St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. I plan on collecting a lot more!! :))

My mom bought me these necklaces when she was in Madeira last summer and I have them hanging from two of the candles on my bookshelf.

A woman figurine that I use to hang some of my jewelery and accessories from. This is where I usually hold my favorite pairs of earrings and headband!

I LOVE books and the thing I wanted in my room when I decorated it a few years back was a big bookshelf and I got my wish :D I also have a huge one in the living room so this is the one where I keep my favorite books mostly. Like I said before, the worst part of being in Med School is that is seriously limits the time I spent reading. Sigh.
Most of the jewelery boxes and toys here are gifts I got. I love to have them on show even though I am so running out of space!

I love sheep, I think they're such cute and silly, fluffy creatures! I also keep every card I get and I am planning on making a collage with them soon! (And oh god, please ignore the Dan Brown books, it was a phase :))))

Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my life :*

"This is where we both break free"

So, I have been in a very brain-dead kind of state of being this past two week, what will all the billion pages of courses and the fact that my motivation to study is somewhere in the gutter (a/n: Dear god, please bring me a McDreamy fast or I might turn this into a Medical School: The Horror Movie soon.)

But then I got a lovely e-mail from the even lovelier Dada from DaDaMoDa asking me if I'd like to be interviewed for her fashion site. Needless to say I've been bouncing around just thinking about it all week!

The interview (in Romanian, sorry everyone else) is here if you want to check it out :) A big, warm thank you to Dada!! And to all the Romanian readers (wow, there are a lot more of you than I originally though!) I'm sending you a lot of hugs si va multumesc mult pentru toate comment-urile frumoase, they always make my day :)

"Try to justify the things I used to do, believe in you"

They're all empty, in case you're wondering. Exam sessions rock (except they so do not).

No outfit posts this week because I did not leave the house except to go to my Histology Lab exam and to get coffee.

The only clothes I wore on these little trips were jeans, a tee and rainboots because while I was stuck in the house, with nothing but pages and pages of courses, Coke Zero and 12 hours of studying non stop, the sky felt like it had broken and it's been raining non stop. It's like the world is trying to catch up on the water it's been owing us since a very hot and dry autumn.

So, in lack of outfits, here is a quiz post and a lot wishes for a great weekend :)

I've been tagged by Zmaga to share 10 random things about myself, so off the top of my head here are the first things that come to mind:

1 I love movies and if I like a movie I can watch it 10 times in a row and not get bored of it. I've watched The Dark Knight about 6 times this summer, 3 of those times at the cinema!

2 I have a new obsession every week. This week: Twilight, apple and kiwi smoothies, making paper planes out of my courses. And when I do I go all the way (why yes, that is a photo of Robert Pattinson on my cell phone, iPod and computer desktop, why do you ask?)

3 I am very friendly with almost everybody, but I make real, honest-to-god, lets-share-friendship-bracelets friends rarely. But if I do end up considering you my friend I consider it to be forever. So my girls (they know who they are <3) style="font-weight: bold;">4 I'm a Taurus and I relate to my sign completely: stubborn, possessive, chilled until you really step on my nerves and then it's smoke-out-of-ears fury, haha.

5 I love reading. A lot. Favorite writers: Steinbeck, Amelie Nothomb, Faulkner, Bulgakov, Pascal Bruckner, Oscar Wilde.

6 I am half Macedonian. I can understand the language perfectly but can't speak a word of it.

7 Speaking of languages, my mom always jokes that I know English better than Romanian. She might be right :))

8 I love breakfast! You can starve me all day if you want, but if you get between me and my breakfast I die. It's my favorite meal of the day and it usually consists of a bowl of whole wheat cereals with soy milk, cinnamon, ground flax seeds and different fruits. Yum!

9 I am an early bird and I'm out of bed at 6 or 7 every morning.

10 I love coffee... but I guess that's really not an unknown fact about me, is it?

*

Also, I've been tagged by the adorable Annah:

The rules are :
1. Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your pictures.
2. Pick the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same!

My 4th folder is called Music is Love and this is the photo:

This photo is Brendon Urie, who is the singer from one of my favorite bands, Panic at the Disco. The photo was taken from the photo site of Thomas Conrad who is a great photographer and who unfortunately posts too little and whom I really like! Needless to say, I think this photo is absolutely beautiful <3
