"Whisper's hello, I miss you quite terribly"

One of the websites I always check on a regular basis is apple.com's movie trailers page. You already all know I am a very big movie freak but I also enjoy watching trailers maybe just as much as the actual movies themselves.

I love the anticipation, I love the fact that most movies always look good in trailers, I love getting a sneak peek and having a new movie to look forward too. And even if the movie disappoints, at least the trailer totally made me gasp and 'awwww' and giggle sigh.

This week has been slightly slow - study and late nights spent drinking hot chocolate and watching shows on repeat - so I decided to share two of my favorite trailers of this month. I chose these two because I love the stories behind them, because they are visually interesting and beautiful, and because I've seen them a dozen times now and I'm still not bored yet.

Also, I am a big sappy romantic at heart and I really, really, really wanna see them!!

Sweet and heartbreaking and rich, all wrapped up in under 3 minutes, hope you enjoy.

Bright Star:

The movie centers around the beautiful yet tragic romance between the poet John Keats and his love Fanny Brawne. I say tragic because it was too short due to his death at 25. I fell in love with Keats' poetry when I was in the 8th grade (him and Byron made my heart flutter with delight back then and still do.) so I personally cannot wait for the movie.

It stars Abbie Cornish and Ben Wishaw. I love him and think he is a breathtaking actor, if you haven't seen Perfume or Brideshead Revisited you need to right now. There's something very mysterious and fragile about him and I always love how that translates onto film. Love him!

(500) Days of Summer
Imdb link here. Trailer here.

I don't think I need to explain this one, do I, considering the fact that I think everyone and their grandma's dog has heard of it! An off-beat love story that isn't a love story, staring the always darling Zooey Deschanel and the multitalented Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
I can't wait to see the movie. Until then at least there's this funny, quirky, colorful trailer to enjoy.

This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen grew up believing that he'd never truly be happy until the day he met the one. The girl, Summer Finn did not share this belief. This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story.

Summer: We've been like Sid and Nancy for months now.
Tom
: We've had some disagreements but I hardly think I'm Sid Vicious.
Summer
: No I'm Sid.
Tom
: Oh, so I'm Nancy...

All screencaps by me. All trailers from Apple.com.
Hope you're now just excited for these two gorgeous movies as much as I am :)

500 days of summer was one of my favorites of the year. Bright star looks good too, just visually incredible. I feel like I need to do some more reasearch on Keats and his poetry.

I saw (500) Days of Summer last night and it was wonderful! I think it captured human emotion and some of the more negative aspects of love perfectly.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Bright Star too. Romantic poetry has always been a favourite of mine literature wise and Keats is undoubtedly one of the best :)

Yes and yes, trailers are an art within themselves! I have actually heard quite a lot about Bright Star and am absolutely loving the look of it. Oh and yay for Never Mind The Buzzcocks!! Hope you're having a lovely day dear :)

Oh! I cannot wait for the 'Bright Star', too. I think Abbie Cornish looks great in costume movies (I loved her in 'Elizabeth').
I also want to see 'Veronika decides to die' based on Paulo Coelho book (loved the book!) with Sarah Michelle Gellar, and 'Dorian Gray' (my all time favourite book) with Ben Barnes. Just crossing fingers the movies will be as great as the books;-)
And of course not to forget the 'Avatar' (goose bumps..)!!
From the recent 'Let the right one in' (about vampires) also gave me chills;-)

You know what? I am a movie geek too! And I LOVE apple.com trailers. In fact, when I am not watching movies, I am reading screenplays, or surfing rottentomatoes.com for reviews. Another movie I am really looking forward to is Lovely Bones. I wonder if you've seen the trailer. It's based on a book. Do check out the trailer on apple.com, if you haven't already.
