(This post is brought to you by the amazing 10-22mm Canon lens I managed to get my tiny greedy little hands on this weekend. I was this close to holding it tightly against my chest and whispering 'My Preciousssssss' over and over. This close!)
I love it when things work out. You know that feeling of happiness you get in the depth of your chest when you look around and it feels like all the cogs are rolling perfectly in sync and everyone is rolling with it and it's like butterflies under your skin and like the pleasant shock of a warm drink to your body? Yeah, that feeling there.
Saturday was Urban Soup Nights which in theory was a night where soup was served and at the same time donations were made for the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital.
Why do I say in theory? Because it was that and so much more!! It was an evening of smiles and warmth served along steaming hot cups of soup. An evening of old friends reuniting over so many hugs and new faces greeting each other with nothing but smiles. It was an evening of friendship that popped up in unexpected places. It was proof that our city, as run down and lost as it might sometimes look, still has so much good to offer in the form of wonderful, funny, smart, caring individuals.
It' s amazing how many people soup and Twitter can bring together :D
Thanks to everyone I met there for a great night and I can't wait for the next one!
For more links and photos, Pranzul Din Caserola has it all wrapped up so nicely. And my photos can be found, as always, on my Flickr Account.

What's better than a Sunday night? A Sunday night when you decide in the spur of the moment that sitting inside is not fine and that the best plan is to Geek Up!! (How I Met Your Mother references rock!) and join the happy peeps at the Wild Nerds Party.
Lovely night with sweet funny people that embraced their inner geek and danced the night away and did not kick my ass for burning off their retinas with my camera's flash. Thank you!
A lot more photos HERE

Song of the Day: The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
If you haven't seen The Boat That Rocked you should now!! If not for the amazing Bill Nighty (I don't think it's possible to love this man more that I already do!) or for the cutie-pie Tom Sturridge or for the over the top and fabulous wardrobe, at least do it for the music! The soundtrack will have you dancing all day and all of the night ;)

I love "The Boat That Rocked" ost so much!
I missed your photos!
Looks like you've been having a good time :)
Geek suit up *

I volunteer at a soup kitchen here in New York. It's a great thing to do: especially if you work in the fashion industry as I do, which can be very solipsistic. LLGxx
sunt si eu curioasa in legatura cu ce spune persoana anonima, daca ai putea sa-mi satisfaci curiozitatea:)in rest, pozele sunt superbe, si e bine de stiut ca au loc si astfel de evenimente in bucuresti, pentru viitor.tinuta este foarte feminina si anima pozele[cea cu rochia]
