"You're a mean one, Mister Grinch!"

Nothing says Christmas like a sugar overload. Complete with artificially colored sprinkles to keep the heart pumping.

Funny thing, this year it feels like almost everybody is a Grinch in disguise. Maybe it's the school stress or the lack of Christmas snow or maybe everyone's hearts shrank two sizes too small. Even my poor tree looks particularly glum this year.

Not even Tron could lighten the mood and that's saying something. When not even a David Bowie-esque Michael Sheen and a wrapped in shiny leather Olivia Wilde can't crack a smile, you know things are blue in Whoville. I blame too freaky to be cool CGI Jeff Bridges for that.


But! But at least friends are close and gifts are tightly wrapped and cookies are freshly baked so for a night I actually put on my reindeer horns and felt the need to sing Christmas carols at the top of my lungs. Those are the days when even a Grinch feels annoyingly cheerful :-)
