"Outfit; Why didn't you go to school, I just didn't"

"Oh, forget the food. I need caffeine. Whatever form you've got, I haven't had any all day. I'll drink it, shoot it, eat it, snort it, whatever form it's in, gimme."
-Lorelai, Gilmore Girls

I never thought a person could talk for almost an hour about bile and gall bladders. I was proved wrong today in the too long anatomy lesson. No breaks make us students twitchy and bored.

Tomorrow, sleepover party at my friend Irina's house. And on Friday night hopefully (fingers crossed) my girls and I will find a Halloween party in a club. I am seriously thinking on doing an overly exaggerated make-up (a la Dior perhaps?) because this is the only night of the year when I get away with it!

I know I have been ignoring the little blog lately but please bare with me, things will be getting into motion from now on :)

Last Friday was my bff Minnie's birthday. It involved presents, the best chocolate cake ever, pizza, tequila, so many cute boys in one place and dancing until 4am.

Happy birthday darling :)

"Outfit; It all starts like this"

New fact about me: I love going to the theater. A lot.

There was a time when I would go see a play almost every week, when I knew all the actor's name and all the theater houses by heart. In the past 6 months, because of schedule issues I took a long break and then the theaters all went on their summer 'vacation' and thus my theater experience was stopped.

Last night I took my mom and our 'theater gang' (closest family friends, we've been seeing plays together for 7 years now) and we saw our first play in what feels like ages. The play was amazing and then we had champagne with the actors and the theater director and all was more than great.

I always said that if I hadn't gone to Medical School I would have chosen Theater as my future career. I don't regret my choice because the stage looks just as amazing from this the audience side too :)

Play again tonight. And next weekend too. And hopefully the one after that. And the one after that...

"Outfit; A footnote in someone else's happiness"

Just 9 days of university and I have already accumulated a very impressive pile of courses. Half of those courses being of the WTF category but I guess that comes with the territory and the cute white coats.

If updates will be a little slow from now it's because I am usually too tired when I get home to do anything but get into my PJs and watch Dexter (or the newly rediscovered Pushing Daisis). Weekend are for sleeping and drinking! Just joking.

Today's highlights include:
+ trying out the new coffee my girls and I got for free from our Starbucks (that's what happens when you spend all your free time there!)
+ finding out the connection between human physiology and lions (hint: there is none)
+ finally almost finishing Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita and startingTerry Pratchett's Good Omens.
+ coffee!

My university's amphitheater.

L-O-L, I love histology. (someone asked in the last post what it is: it's the study of human cells and tissue. Fun, right?)

My uni is under repair.

"Outfit; Love's not a hostile condition"

This week felt like the longest week ever. On Friday I had a way too early Histology course where I learned nothing new but at least I got to wear my white coat and play with a microscope, right?

Tonight it is Reservoir Dogs and hot chocolate night.

My bonsai tree had been ill but is now feeling much better. It even had visitors today.

"Outfits; So many heartaches, so many faces"

University has started again and I am no longer the med student slacking off at Starbucks but the med student stuck in anatomy and microbiology courses from 8am to 6pm almost daily. Needless to say it was a pretty bad week with the long hours being just the tip of the oh-so-embarrassing and annoyingly depressing iceberg. Thank god for the weekends and Dexter, right?

I had some pretty outfits this week but of course, me being me, I completely forgot to take photos... So here you have the photos from my trip this weekend and a promise that next week I will be better. Doctor's honor!

Day Two. The old town center.

Minnie looked more than adorable. I think you all agree that we should steal her shoes.

Best food ever!

Me, Mada, Minnie and Dana after we finally found someone to take our tourist-y photo!

Song of the Day: Moby - Extreme Ways

Monday, 6 October 2008

"Plastic hearts and blue shoes"

Let's get drunk and ride around
And make peace with an empty town

We can make it right...

We'll scream loud at the top of our lungs

And they'll think it's just cause we're young

And we'll feel so alive

I am back. It felt so unnatural waking up today and going to school, when just 24 hours before I was walking in the rain sharing kisses with a blue-eyed boy while yelling at the top of my lungs with my girls.

Slept a total of 9 hours, met French boys, ate the best food ever, chased pigeons, danced with the room spinning around so fast I was scared I would fall, played truth or dare while drunk, bought blue shoes, had dinner in the middle of the night, stayed up until 4am sharing sexual fantasies ideas, enjoyed the last sunny day and fell in love with my best friends all over again.

Best weekend ever. That's why I still can't believe that today I woke up in my own bed.
